Self-drive Holiday Trip to Melbourne/Tasmania (4)

It was dark (5 pm) when I came down from Bay of Fires and reached the beach house. The next day was exploration time. The house was on a sheep padlock and 120 metres from the beach. Cozy and charming. Sure enough, we saw penguin tracks on the beach sand. We then took a short drive to the Bicheno Wildlife Park to feed Tasmania Devils, Kangaroos and carried wombats. The best is yet to come...

Along life's journey, faith is required. Faith in ourselves, faith in others, faith in God and the Divine.

My 'journey of faith' started while I was in St Andrew's School at around the age of 14. I was confronted by Jesus Christ, the same way He confronted Simon Peter. He asked: "Who do you say I am?"

Peter had already been with Jesus for 3 years, so he could answer without hesitation, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God". Matt 16:13-16.

But I could not answer Jesus' question immediately. I was then only in Secondary Two. For the next 5 years, I searched, I questioned, I resisted the idea that Jesus was the Son of God. I had no problem believing in God the Father, the God of gods. I only had problem believing in Jesus, who goes around claiming to be the Son of God.

Finally, after 5 years of searching, I took the step of faith -- I submitted myself to Jesus, but told Him that He had to reveal more of Himself to me.

If you have not started your journey of faith, you will not be able to answer Jesus' question too.

Don't be afraid to start on your journey of faith. Everybody have to travel this path. In months or years to come, you will find an answer to Jesus' question too.
